scare crow cake pops !
I just have to get this settled before Christmas. It is still autumn after all. And I thought the Scarecrow Cake Pops would be a fun Thanksgiving Turkey alternate to my Pops.
First Place. Scarecrows need hats. You know, to keep their hair in place of hay. Rolos can work. peanut butter cups Reese, too. But I did not in the house so I made my own with a silicone mold handy candy. Fill the cavities with chocolate and tap the pan on the counter to make solid parts.
Or, just coat the sides. You can fill the cups, turn upside down and press the excess or you can brush the chocolate on the sides of the molds. I like this version better because the hollow shape rests on top of the cake pop nicely cupping the curve of pop so it looks more natural. The solid version of glue above.
Dip your cake pops in the stained beige coating. I used white plates with a little brown and orange too. . But only because I had to later use orange
Note :. Here is the complete pop cake how to do here if you have not done
Just after you soak pop, reinstall the cap on top. Press gently to secure and let dry.
Ahhh. Now for hair. The hay. Shredded wheat. Yes, we talk about grain. Perfect for small scarecrows to look their best.
To attach the hay, applying a molten layer to pop and sprinkle or press position of a random mess. Do the sides first, then the fringe and let dry. Try to get the top of the fringe to attach flat against noise. They can stick to anything they want up front though.
Then use a wet toothpick into chocolate coating or a squeeze bottle filled with coating and draw an edge over the fringe. You can try to do right or floppy research. Floppy is easier since the bangs are not super smooth.
For the faces, draw on the nose with orange molten coating and a toothpick. Set of black confetti sprinkles for eyes and draw on stitched smiles with a black AmeriColor Gourmet Writing Pen.
Attach a pair of giant leaves glitter and your scarecrows are ready to scare anyone ... absolutely. They are just too cute.
You can also take a cut if you want. And I want. Because these scarecrows need to look a little more plush. Add a rescuer collar and tie more "hay" with a molten coating.
And there slept black sunflower seeds.
You know where I'm going with this ...
That's right ... small black crows with beak and candy coating eyes with dots.
Yep. Certainly not to be taken seriously at all here. I guess they are just too sweet to scare.
I hope you guys enjoy!
