I have another little project easy to share with you today using slices and sweets candy molds in my Bakerella Make'n line for mold. If you liked the candy pops jewel of a few weeks, so I think you will enjoy this project as well.
This is a fun way to make the cutest little candy toppers ... perfect cake for your lover!
First, we will need this sweet Candy mold forms.
Here is an overview of the super cute packaging.
We will also need a few slices of brightly colored sweets. Melt and you're ready to go.
Okay, let's get melted candy into this mold. You can take the easy route and fill forms with just a couple of colors ... (or even one) in a short time, but I wanted to show you how fun they could be using all the colors of the product range.
to fill the mold, use a wet toothpick into the slices of melted candy to draw in defined areas. If you fill in larger areas with a color, you can spoon carefully or use a squeeze bottle to the pipe in the mold.
and the layer on more colors until the mold cavity is full. (It takes a little longer than just using one or two colors, but the great thing about these is that you can make the mattress pad in advance.) Be sure to let each color set before add another color on top. When finished, pop into the fridge for a few minutes to adjust.
They do not look like much here, but ...
... When you put them on, they will look as sweet as possible.
I mean, look at this cute little bear with her perfectly pink legs. Oh my God.
I illustrated these forms and it is so fun to see them evolve from a two-dimensional drawing on the computer to an adorable edible 3d release.
to remove the forms, giving the mold a little twist and turn the mold over and let them free on your counter. You can do it on a dishtowel also to help prevent breaking. If some do not want to pop right out, and turn again and gently lift the edge, one at a time.
to turn them into toppers cupcake, just dip a toothpick into slices more melted candy and attach it to the back of each form candy and let dry.
There. Super easy.
I like placing these toppers on vanilla frosted cake small so really colorful candy stand.
Leave them like this or add some pastel sequins around the edge of the cupcake to embellish them a little more.
They will make the sweetest Valentine's Day treat!
