Elephant Valentines Cupcake Pop

Elephant Valentines Cake Pop -
Elephant Cake Pops
I sent you guys tons of love with these sweet little cake pops elephant. I hope you like them. They were inspired by those vintage charm Cards Valentine where elephants take hearts with their trunks. Anyway, I could not resist trying them as cake pop.
Cake Crumbs
To start, you need cake. Well, the crumbs to be exact. Hop on over to my instructions for basic Cake Pops if you have not done before. Once they are rolled into balls to soak you can get to the fun stuff ... decoration.
cashews
Cake Balls
For trunks, I just used. They worked on pretty awesome !!!
For the ears ... and I wanted to look at those big and floppy ... Initially, I thought I would use the pretzels, but that did not go so well for me, so I found myself just using the same slices of candy that I use for dipping.
instead of melting them, just cut the curves of the brake pad using a small round cookie cutter. I used the butt of advanced piping that I had on hand. Having the curved side, it will be easier to reach by matching the curved shape against the side of the cake pop round. See below.
Making Elephant Ears
Ok ... soaking prep. Usually, I just insert a cake pop stick into the melted coating and a cake ball cooled just before immersion. And this little coating basin at the base in the photo above left just married together.
But these elephants, I attach several pieces before they are soaked so that the candy pool should be smooth or it will dry out and become a part of the shape of the head . Just use your finger and smooth quickly around the base of pop. This also ensures the stick since you are not plunge immediately.
Then dip the cut and the curved edge of a wafer candy in melted candy coating and attach to the top and side of the ball a rounded portion of the insert facing the front . Take another cutting insert and attach it to the bottom right with the front flat side. Smooth any coating when the pads are attached to the pop cake when you finally plunge, the transition will be smooth. Repeat with the left side.
Now take a cashew nut and the position at the front bottom of the pop. press gently to make an indentation. Then, dip the end fat cashew nuts into melted coating and attach to pop. Again, any smooth melted candy overflowing. Notice in the photo bottom right, I was the indentation here. Cashew was not yet dipped in the coating.
Okay, after that the pieces are all attached, put the pop in the fridge to cool again before diving. If the pop reaches room temperature, it will fall apart when you dip the pops.
Dipping Elephant Cake Pops
But not if cooled. I like to see how things start to take shape when the coating is added. You never know what disorder the structure of the building was below.
Once all the elephants are immersed, let them dry completely before putting them truly to life.
You can use the melted candy like glue to attach the decorations to the elephant.
Heart Candies
Here hearts for them to hold. They are nice and big.
Bakerella Candy Wafers
I also wanted them to have sweet little bows on one side so I used my Mold Playful Shapes and Candy Pink Party candy wafers. Because they are totally elephant girl.
Candy
They also sweet cheeks made using pink confetti glitter.
And these girls have their party hats on ... They 're made with baby tear forms of candy. I just use kitchen scissors to cut the ends off so they attach to the head shape more efficiently. To cover the edge or the approximate gap where the party hat is attached, just use the melted candy applied around the base.

Elephant Cake Pops
Totally cute, right.
candies are attached using a melted candy coating applied with a toothpick.
eyes and mouth are drawn on with an edible black writing pen.
and trunk and hat details are a little more melted candy shot with a toothpick.
Ok, I know that they have many things, but I wanted to show you a fun-eleph lot of options at once.
Keep in mind ...
You can just get into the hearts ...
or only give them bows ...
or ready to party ...
... and you absolutely can make simply soaked with eyes and a mouth, and they will be super cute too. He's yours.
Circus Elephant Cake Pops
If you want to make this fun for anything other than February 14 drill a hole in the center of a wrapper mini candy and drag it below the pop for a fun necklace. An envelope polka-dot would be totally sweet. And instead of a red heart, try one of Sixlet candy - they make perfect little balls
