Eat your carrots -
Ok, so this is not really a hard sell. I mean, let's face it ... dressed carrot cake like cute baby is much more fun than the real version of vegetables, right ?!
I think so. But, I guess I could begin to draw faces on raw carrots to make me want to eat more. May be. One day.
But first ... let's hop all over the carrot cake pops. Some Easter fun (or vegetable lover) treat!
Okay, they were a little more in line with the theme if I actually made carrot cake and cream cheese frosting.
But I do not have it. No carrots in the house; )
Instead I just cooked a yellow cake, crumbled and mixed with frosting.
Here are the basic instructions for making lollipops round cake. For shaping in carrots, use wax paper to help with formatting. You can drag, rock and roll your cake balls on wax paper to shape and create a smooth surfaceAnd then after the chilled for a bit, you can dip them in melted slices of orange candy.
Dip and remove in one easy movement without swirling in the melted candy. Make sure the surface is nice and fluid when you dip and pull and push any excess with a smooth surface.
And before the coating sets, just insert the leaves above.
I got these teardrop-shaped candy and thought they would be the perfect shape, size and color of the leaves.
and they were. Simply insert two side by side candy, then a third candy right in front before the candy coating sets.
Voila ... carrots. And cute carrots with it, faces soft Simpe.
Use a pen writing AmeriColor Gourmet to draw on eyes and mouth.
But to make the eyes pop, focus on a little white coating on each eye ... it really makes a difference and gives them more personality.
for sweet cheeks, pastel sprinkles the use of confetti in pink and attach them to the pop using a wet toothpick in the coating.
See ... super cute. But we'll add a little more detail.
You can also use a toothpick dipped in the coating to draw horizontal lines on carrots.
Now ... They look good enough to eat!
But this guy tried to go in disguise and hide all hungry rabbits.
He failed. This large rabbit knows best.
